On Conspiracies and the truth
I’m currently watching an excellent BBC documentary on 9/11 and conspiracy theories. I have a SERIOUS problem with conspiracy theories – especially the likes of Loose Change. Here’s just a few pointers.
A 747 has a very light, thin shell. IT WILL NOT behave like a steel rod or solid cylinder. It is mainly air and soft plastic – they’re Aircraft, not ships! they have to withstand very little in the way of compression forces from the front backwards, so if it hits something solid dead on, an aircraft will simply collapse. This goes dobley for the wings and tail-sections. They are designed to come off in the event of a major collision, since this is where all the fuel is stored. In an air crash, the last thing you want is several thousand gallons of highly flammable fuel attatched to a cabin full of people. The last thing anyone wants is crispy fried air-passengers.
The laws of momentum apply to EVERY plane, no matter how vital to your conspiracy theory. Not just the plane either. several thousand gallons of air fuel will continue to move in the same direction it had been moments before, especially if the main body of the aircraft and the leading edge of the wings (packed with lots of hard things like flaps, hydraulics, pumps etc) has made a hole in whatever the aircraft just hit.
Check your facts. There are documented examples of bits of plane at all sites on 9/11. All sites. You just have to look for them.
Jews were NOT warned of the attacks. Again, check your facts. the root of the story comes from the jerusalem post article published the day after the attacks, which said that 4000 Israelis in and around the area *could* have been caught in the attacks. Note could – this is taken from the whole area, and was simply an attempt to bring the gravity of the situation home. Al Manar (a “News” group less trust worthy than Fox News [seriously! I didn't think it possible either!] which has been designated a terrorist entity by the US, has been taken off a french owned satellite for anti semitism, and banned in several countries) began broadcasting the idea that 4000 israelis did not show up for work on 9/11/01. “Israelies” was then substituted for “Jews” by some douchebag anti-semite (not that Al Manar is not anti semitic, they just hapened to be outdone). The whole thing is provably false – around 119 victims of the world trade center attacks were jewish, and a further 72 are beleived to have been. All in all around 9.2% of the victims were jewish – nearly ten percent! this is close to the 9.7% of new york which is jewish. The idea that the jews did it is all Bullshit of the worst kind – Ignorant, anti-semitic, racist bullshit!
Nearly as bad is the idea of a radio controlled plane – what happned to the passengers? they were all murdered, say the conspiracy theorists. The idea that united states military personell would engage in murderous acts JUST BECAUSE THEY WERE ORDERED TO is inherently ignorant and small minded. the average man in uniform is more likely to say no to such a horrific order, since the average man in uniform understands life and death a hell of a lot more than the average fucktard on the street.
but then, without the idea that the world is much simpler than people imagine is a hard pill to swallow. The idea that the USA could have done far too much interference in the middle east and has reaped the whirlwind is far too harsh for some, whilst the tantalising “I’m smart cus i figured this out” feeling others have will always lead to fertile ground for conspiracies. I have no doubt that any conspiracy theorist coming across my post just won’t be able to resist arguing against me. Let me save you the time. Go cuddle your conspiracy blanket. i can’t be bothered with arguing something you will never accept, so keep your blind faith and stupidity to yourself.
NB – all facts taken from my own research – you don’t have to look that hard. Nothing in this post should be taken as anti-semetic, or as me blaming the americans for 9/11 – i’d just like to make it clear that these psychopaths that committed the crimes did so with no justification whatsoever apart from the tenuous reasons they gave themselves.
